Every member accepts these guidelines before they get into the Family, and again if they change. They sit alongside our terms and privacy policy. They apply everywhere in the Family: posts, comments, private messages, lesson comments, your profile name, bio and picture.
Hate and discrimination. Nothing that attacks, mocks or puts down people for their ethnicity, nationality, skin colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age. That includes racist words, slurs and «jokes».
Harassment and threats. No bullying, insults, threats, or going after someone again and again — in public or in private messages.
Sexual content. No sexual or nude images, sexual messages, sexual comments about other members, or advances — including in private messages. The Family is not a dating site.
Violence and shocking content. No glorifying violence, and no graphic or disturbing images.
Spam and selling. No advertising, selling, recruiting, chain messages, or links to scams. Sharing a useful free resource for learning Norwegian is fine.
Other people's privacy. Do not share someone else's personal details, or screenshots of private messages, without their consent. Do not pretend to be someone else.
Illegal content. Nothing that breaks Norwegian law.
Sharing the paid material. The courses, videos and PDFs are for your own learning. Do not share them outside the Family, and do not share your account.
The first time you break these guidelines, you get a warning. It tells you what you did and why it is not allowed, and it arrives as a private message in the Family. Anything that broke the rules may be removed.
The second time, your membership is closed permanently. You lose access to everything in the Family — the Classroom, The App, Saga PDFs and the community — and you may not join again with another account.
Serious cases skip the warning. Threats, targeted racist abuse, sexual content involving anyone under 18, or other clearly illegal content lead to an immediate permanent ban, and may be reported to the police.
Membership is access to the Family on the condition that you follow these guidelines. If your membership is closed for breaking them, the price you paid is not refunded, and paying again does not reopen it. This does not limit any right you have under Norwegian consumer law.
Private messages are private: only you and the person you write to can read them — Even cannot. The same guidelines apply in them. If someone sends you something that breaks the guidelines, take a screenshot and email it to hello@norwegiansaga.no, and it will be dealt with.
Even runs the Family and decides whether something breaks these guidelines. Posts and comments that do may be removed without notice. If you think a warning or a ban was a mistake, email hello@norwegiansaga.no within 14 days and say why. Every appeal is read, and you get an answer.
If the guidelines change, you are asked to accept the new version the next time you open the Family. What you did before a change is judged by the version that applied then.
